Megan Dodds (the actress) is an American.

And count me as someone who really liked Christine. She and Tom had great chemistry.

They had more chemistry than

RE: Christine Dale
Megan Dodds who was born in Sacremento California, has also demonstrated a talent for playing very English young ladies as recently shown on ITV in the Poirot series. Megan played Henrietta Savernake, in the episode “The Hollow” with a very 1930’s English accent.
Another American actor also from California but this time Los Angeles is James Cromwell who played The Duke of Edinburgh in that tremendous film “The Queen” with Helen Mirren and Micheal Sheen. I was amazed to learn at the time that the actor playing Prince Philip, was in fact American. If you have not seen the film it is a “must see”.

(A few brief glimpses, but you will get the flavour of his character)

(I would recommend however that you watch “The Deal” first for an incredible performance by Micheal Sheen as Tony Blair.)

Actually mate, I'm an officer who didn't get suckered by an American con artist.

RE: Christine Dale
I rather disliked her when I first watched the show 6 years ago. I thought she was just very superficial and couldn't see the attraction and why Tom would end up with her. Upon my re-watch this year I started understanding if not liking her a lot better.

I think her acting and character profile is not all bad
Spoiler: show
especially compared to Sarah Caulfield
but I still don't like how she looks at Tom. The way she lowers her eyes and looks at him so obviously seductively, just doesn't feel natural.

Despite this, I think I'm becoming more and more convinced that she and Tom suit each other
Spoiler: show
and I start liking that they're together according to was it Harry's diaries or Personnel files?
. What I disliked about her character arch is mostly in S03 so it has no relevance to s02. I think she's believable as a CIA agent with a soft spot for the UK and Tom.

I completely agree - I really liked Christine Dale for the character that she was. If that makes any form of sense whatsoever... Tongue

RE: Christine Dale
I was watching Season 2 Episode 7 "Clean Skin" last night before the new episode and there was a wonderful scene
Spoiler: show
when Christine makes a date to see Tom at the opera and is waiting for Tom and when he turns up tell her he can't make it she just smiles as the character knows it goes with the job.
A beautiful scene well played by both actors involved Oh and she looked amazing as well!!

Harry RE: Christine Dale
Christine Dale has been the only CIA agent on Spooks that I've ever liked. I'm not sure what it is- maybe it was the chemistry she had with Tom (and maybe its also because I found her personality to be interesting)- but I like her and her appearance was also how I became a fan of Megan Dodds (the actress who plays her).

I find her accent to be better than
Series 8 Spoiler: show
Sarah Caufield's
.

RE: Christine Dale
I also liked Christine Dale, I thought her relationship with Tom worked very well. She was brilliant in 2.6, when the American President is visiting and the way she dealt with Tom's weird doctor girlfriend.

Lucas 8.4: It's all about trust, isn't Harry ?.

I agree with you. Tom & Christine had great chemistry and their interactions were always interesting. The way she dealt with that weird woman was quite effective too- I'm glad it stopped that doctor's antics. She (Christine) can be quite ruthless and the way she handled things was quite controversial at times, but I found her character to be cool and fun to watch.
