Yeah, I've learned my lesson on that one. In haste, I bought the Region 4 DVD for Series 7 only to find there's no extras. Advice for all Aussies: wait for the official BBC version to come out - usually around the release date for the new series in the UK (currently given as October this year for S8).

For all of the Aussies on the forum who haven't bought all the DVDs yet: JB HI-FI has a buy two get one free deal going on Spooks at the moment, and I think they're all the same price at $24.98. So for less than $50, you can get three seasons.

There's also lots of other good shows going on the same rate and deal.

I was in ABC Shop today, [the 11th Aug.] & it was confirmed that DVD Season 8 will be released end Oct/ early Nov. So for all of us in OZ, do hope this is correct.

I'm hoping that the late release here means that we get extras this time around. Which is totally worth the wait for those of us without multi region players.

[slight aside] JHyde, there are some websites that give out the codes to allow a "non-multi-region" player to read multi-region. I found out about it a few years ago and used it on my DVD player. They give a list of manufacturers and models and list what codes to press on your remote to solve the problem. One time it was free, now I think they charge about $10US - but it's worth it. If you'd like to PM me, I can give you the link I used, but a search might find something better.

I notice that New Zealand is about to get season 8 on pay tv. Maybe if we tell the ABC that New Zealand are beating us to it they might get a jump on it?
