Yes, as series 8 was a "little" sad there wasnt much opportunity for PF to use his face much. I did like his face when he commented to the Tazbeck bloke about Britain still being better off than them (cant spell Tazbeck) in 8.2. He looked quite smug although I think he was spoiling for a fight at the start of that episode because of the whole Ruth thing.

What would I like to see from Harry in series 9? Well to be honest, more of Harry will do me for starters. He was pushed back into a "managers" role for most of the series. The poor bloke spent hours just leaning over desks on the speaker phone. I dont think we will get back the action Harry from series 6 and 7, but he can still do other things than just speaking on the phone. If Lucas gets made section chief then Harry may not be able to keep his nose out of operational matters which he could do with Adam and Ros in charge as he totally trusted them. What else would I like to see, well some of his chest is the only other thing I can think of. There totally was a lack of chest in series 8.

One of the reasons I liked season 5 Harry was that you really got a sense of the man himself. Most of the writing would at some point reveal Harry's own philosophy and reasons for being, and I found that a wonderful, personal way into the denoument of many episodes (I'm thinking specifically of 5.1/5.2 and 5.8. 5.5 is a bit of an obvious but nonetheless a shining example too.)

So I'd like to see more of that, both for Harry and for other characters too.

And I've said previously: bluster. I want to see Harry get his mojo back. And I want to see him get a hug. He's our own personal Hellboy.

When you say "mojo" JHyde do you mean his sexual charm? Has he lost that then....?

Yes getting your arm touched constantly by the love of your life is not the same as receiving a hug from them. I assume you meant a hug from Ruth JHyde? I dont think a hug from Tariq or Lucas would have the same effect on Harry.

I'd like Harry to have a proper nemesis in season 9 like Oliver Mace and Juliet Shaw. I think Harry needs someone to fight and be in your face with.

Also agree with Tea Lady that more chest action would be wonderful!!

I think we need to see action Harry back -- it's been awhile. And I agree, shazia.kasim, a proper nemesis would be good. That would give him someone to play off.

I agree, a nemesis for Harry!! Some of the best scenes come from those confrontations.

Another wish for Harry regarding season 9 is that he goes back to wearing waistcoats like he did in seasons 1 and 2.

There are mixed feelings about the waistcoats. I think a nice compromise would be having him in the tux, but slightly undressed so that he's in his waistcoat and without a tie.

I think the waistcoat thing had its place back then but maybe not now although I do love my avatar so.

As for Harry in a tux, surely there is a place for this in series 9. If the HS is saved then he could hold a party to celebrate. Or India or Pakistan could hold a party at their embassies to celebrate not blowing each other up. I guess though that could = hostage situation!

Although Harry may not trust Lucas as much as he'd liked to, he seems to have a soft spot for Lucas and I'm not sure the script provided much in the form of explicit statements or hints to clarify this.
