RE: "You know you're a fan of [spooks] when....." (Take 2)
(This reflects poorly on me but it was too perfect to pass up...)

....when someone in the lunchroom at work jokingly accuses another lady of working for the KGB and your immediate comeback is 'FSB'. A touch of Harry in the morning.

The woman in question is supremely annoying but it was still ill mannered of me. I don't regret it though.

In the same vein as JH:

. . . when my boss says (at a meeting of campus administrators) what should we do with those people who keep responding to phishing e-mails and I shoot back straight-faced, "Take them out and shoot them." All heads swiveled in my direction!

LOLOL! Ya know, I find that channeling Harry never ever gets the response I intend. Don't know why....Tongue

YKYASFW....you decide it is time you re-read Wm Blake's Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience to better understand Lucas as if he weren't fictional character. In a TV show. Whatever it takes, I guess. Dodgy

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

... while driving to work you notice a white van with albany written on it and your heart races and you want to pull over and investigate further (and then get disappointed when you see that the driver doesn't look anything like Lucas/John)
Ps just to clarify I didn't actually pull over Silba

(This reflects terribly badly on me too. Belive me though the pro's far outweighed the con's in this decision. Don't judge if you don't have the facts. Tongue)

...when you skip your last lesson in favour of catching the next bus and going home to complete your coursework, and on the way to the bus stop (which is the other side of all the college buildings and takes just over 15mins to get to) you take the longest, most scenic route and keep a constant look out for anyone in your next class to make sure no one sees you.

This may seem like normal actions under these circumstances... but when your saying, 'what would they do on spooks?' and you keep checking the roofs and windows for people with scopes etc...it's getting a bit silly. Felt like i had terrible paranoia. Tongue

LOL Kirayuki, don't feel bad, I've been doing that since High School! Big Grin

I used to take down my pony-tail and wear my jacket with collar up and take off my glasses when I want to skip class to hide in the library so I can finish school work. The librarians actually thought I had a twin! Big Grin

And I used to forge sick notes with my parents' signature so I can get out of class and then use the most strategic route to get out of school and go get hamburgers and garlic fries at a nearby restaurant so I can escape my chemistry tests!

I feel so Spooks-like whenever I can always lie and excuse my way out of anything! Smile It even works with my parents!

I am worse than you! Big Grin

This is why my military friends wanted me to join the Marine Corp or some government agency, I have great shooting accuracy and the creativity for spy-work! HEHE! Wink

Although they keep telling me that they would have to hide me from Al-Qaeda because of my non-existent landing skills....Silba I can fly a plane, I just haven't figured out the landing part yet....Angel

----------------------

Oh I got another one......

When you were 12 years old and you were kidnapped by an evil subway train, you just shrug and giggle, get off at the stop where you are suppose to be at the hotel and wait until your father frantically arrives to find you. Then proceed to be very puzzled as to why your mother and grandmother are crying their eyes out, and half the New York Police Force are there and keep patting you on the head and telling you that you are safe and don't worry. And you just look back blankly at them......I mean really, it's not like I was lost....DodgySilba

Ha ha!! It's nice ot know I'm not the only one.
Also, YKYAFOSP... you creep around the house, not disturbing anything, imagining that your wife is surveillance-aware and has deliberately left Heat magazine in that EXACT spot so she'l know whether you've sneaked a read of it.

...when you're listening to Triple J and they're talking about American military space use and find out that AROURA actually does exist!
Sorry, for the double post, but this really did just happen. I ran in to tell my mum that I'd found out that Aroura really does exist, not something Spooks writers had made up for the show and she had to remind me...

..."there is more in the world than Spooks, you know". Smile
