Storylines for series 9

Jo RE: Storylines for series 9
I'd like to see NOT ONE of the major characters killed this season - that would be a surprise and unpredictable for Spooks. I think it sometimes gets in the way of the story - working out who's going to die.

As for a character storyline, I hope that Ros is not dead, and sent away to recuperate from her injuries - that would give a chance for her character to come back. Harry and Ruth to get together, but then have some sort of threat to their relationship, Lucas to be solitary and brooding (last relationship a disaster), and who knows for the new characters? Maybe a traitor leaning on Tariq too...

In brief, a decent Spy Vs. Spy storyline that gets going early in the series, not just in episode 7.

And I'll try to not to add" "must have at least one scene with Richard Armitage topless" (or better) Silba

I'd love to see the return of Tessa. Even if for a short while - would be good to see how she and Ruth react to each other, and
Spoiler: show
if they're both still alive, I'd love for Juliet to come back, and for Ros to go head to head with her again

Agree about Ros and also Harry and Ruth finally getting together because rarely is anyone allowed to be happy for long. I'm hoping for less gun-toting around the streets of London a la wild west and more suspicion and uncertainty on the Grid. If at least some of the new characters are Spooks it'll be busy and I love it when they're packed in like sardines and bouncing off each other verbally. They should get the Lighting Director to create different moods on the Grid again too. That was lacking in the last series.

I hope there is a mole story, similar to Connie.. but maybe running for longer? The whole series maybe? I think some of the best television I've watched is where the audience knows something that the characters don't and in every episode they just nearly find out, that'd keep the audience (well, me) on the edge of their seats.

Seconded Smile
Ros in s6 for example too; I think that series is my favourite Smile

Yes, I like that idea. I want a spook mole who's high up in the Nightingale structure and a series arc that is about trying to uncover him/her.

Or a Nightingale mole who's a past Spook...? That'd be a twist!

Oh ja. second that Big Grin
though we know that's not going to happen.. we'd rather see a cooperation of FSB, CIA, MI5 and MI6... and Nightingale Tongue

Sadly not, but it would be fun to see Captain Jack and Lucas North working side by side... and Captain Jack trying to contain himself!

Another thought... although it would be repetitive to see another old character return to the grid, Zoe's ten year sentence would be up soon....
