RE: Character not returning *spoilers*
Cause Adams? That would be fitting and cause more stress for Harry which I think could come up

well, she wasn't saving Harry's life, it was more of the Home Secretary's life. Not really the same.

As for her causing Jo's death, it wasn't like she had any other way. I hardly blame her for that, it was the bad guy's fault, not Ros's fault by any means. And as for Adam, it wasn't like she made Adam look at her, Adam didn't have to look but he chose to, so in that sense, you might as well blame Adam himself for looking and causing himself that extra precious seconds.

I can't say I quite agree with your statement that Ros caused anyone's death, blaming someone for something they have no control over is rather useless. It's blames like that what causes unnecessary guilt, like saying that it is a child's fault for a parent's death just because the parent was racing home to see his/her child and crashed the car at an intersection and died. It wouldn't be the child's fault. The same with Ros. She may have pulled the trigger, but it's not like there was any other way to end that crisis. You might as well blame Harry for putting Jo into that situation, or Jo for choosing this job.

But I do think it is appropriate that Ros would die saving a person's life. After all, this is her job, to protect and serve. It would be a fitting way to die.

RE: Character not returning *spoilers*
Technically, she did make Adam look at her. She didn't have to go up to him while was getting into the car and say his name...

But I agree that she's not necessarily responsible for Jo's death - techincally Jo even gave her permission to shoot with the nod she gave. However, Ros certainly feels responsible ad guilty for killing her, whether she is in fact or not.

And yes, I fail to see how Ros died saving Harry's life. Unless Maike was referring to the speculation
Series 9 Spoiler: show
that the blonde woman seen filming and forcing Harry to the ground at the Foxhills shoot is in fact Ros, saving Harry's life...

Technically Adam didn't have to look back or respond either.

But all these technicalities doesn't do much, in the end, the people responsible were the ones who set the bomb. Not Ros.

Or just blame the writers for writing that scene...Big Grin

No doubt Ros feels responsible as anyone would, but it certainly wasn't her fault as she wasn't the one who caused this crisis.

I guess we will really know once Series 9 comes back.

Oh good grief. The Russian agents killed Adam by planting the bomb in that car. Ros did not kill Adam.

It didn't cause him to die, no, but I think the implication that is being made is, because Ros called out to Adam, and he froze and spoke to her, he lost a few seconds of time. If Adam had those few seconds back, he may have made it clear of the car before it blew up. Of course it wasn't Ros' fault and events conspired against Adam.

RE: Character not returning *spoilers*
By saving Harry's life I meant possibly early in series 9, the scene with the blonde woman throwing herself over Harry at Foxhill's. At least this COULD BE Ros taking the bullet and giving her life to save Harry. Pure speculation on my part. (I'm still wondering if that pic was random or if they have consciously released a glimpse on a key scene. Harry getting shot must be quite important even if he survives.)

And I would never blame her to be responsible for Adam's death. IIRC she couldn't know that there was a bomb in the car. But accidentally looking at her for a moment may have cost him the seconds he needed to get out of the car. And with Jo, it has been argued that she could have handled it differently and shot the terrorist in the hand that held the trigger(?). In both cases she was involved in her colleagues death, her actions were a part of the events that caused their death. I would think she has that on her conscience and feels guilty even if technically it wasn't her fault. That's why I think she would regard giving her life for her boss as a kind of atonement.

i dont know if i agree about jos death! certainly not adams! jo's there was no other option it had ot be a kill shot or he would have hit the triger jo know this so did ros and that makes it sadder
