RE: Nicola Walker and Peter Firth
That was a great interview. I loved "if it was up to us we'd have done it loads by now"!

RE: Nicola Walker and Peter Firth
Great stuff, thanks for posting. They're hilarious together.
Haha, PF saying 'I'll try anything.' What is Gold Blend, though? Isn't it strange that there's almost more PR being done for the DVD release than there had been for the actual broadcast? |

RE: Nicola Walker and Peter Firth
Yes, I've been surprised by the extra fun we've been getting out of the dvd release. Especially as a lot of it is coming via Peter and Nicola. At least we have achieved step 1 - they know what the fans want!! Just the tricky bit left. Where's that Gold Blend?
Gold Blend is just Nescafe's freeze dried instant coffee. Lauded as the best posh coffee (by the makers!) when it first came out. They did a great series of adverts involving a will they/won't they set of sketches with two actors (the man was the gorgeous Anthony Head, from Buffy and Little Britain). All very smooth and suggestive with lots of flirting over the coffee and more keenly watched than most of the telly programmes! And yes, they did finally get together in the end. |

I remember now! We had those commercials in the US too! Sadly, that is why Anthony Head is familiar to me. Now cracks a noble heart.
