RE: Thank You All
Firstly thank you to everyone who has been involved in the production of Spooks (including both the cast and crew) as they all should be incredibly proud of their work which provided gripping television for the last decade, something which is obviously within itself no mean feat. The excellence of the actors always seemed to be a given but I feel a special mention should go to Peter Firth and Nicola Walker, who through their brilliance created a further dimension to the show, to make the audience gripped through many various aspects, making something which proved to be unmissable television. All that is left to say is, Spooks we will miss you and good luck to all the cast and crew on an future work.

The last episode was impossibly good, but
Series 10.6 Spoiler: show
please forgive me -- I hated it.

Harry returning to work was almost as sad as Ruth's death. I couldn't see it as 'carrying on.' He has nothing else.....

While I understand why it was done, I hate it too. I wanted a happy ending and feel so horribly for Harry in that he has to go on alone. Having to see Ruth sacrifice herself twice - first everything about her life and then to see her sacrifice her actual life - was hard. I'm not going to hate the folks at Kudos, but I'm not going to like the way it was done. However, NW, PF, et al acted it out brilliantly and I want to give them all my appreciation for a job well done. Just because I didn't like the ending doesn't mean it wasn't well done. Three + hours after the end of the final ep and I'm still in tears. Though maybe the full bottle of wine I consumed has something to do with that as well.

Thanks to everyone at the Spooks Forum for letting me be a part of the community. It doesn't matter whether we loved it or hated it, it's that there was a group pf people that could understand where I was coming from that mattered. Thank you for that, truely.

My hubby walked in the room with about 5 minutes left. He said (with a smile) "You do know it's just a tv show, right?" Thanks to him for letting me wallow in pity and depression for the day and not saying anything about me comsuming an entire bottle of wine on my own.

I'm still crying though. Suicida

Ros: "This is the something."

RE: Thank You All
Sorry to be Blunt EndingHappy but what on earth did Harry's house and the beach scene in 10.5 have to do with anything that happened in 10.6? There was no relevance at all. Those hints and straws we grasped (yes we may have been desperate for anything) meant diddly squat. The ending happened. Full stop.

I am a HR shipper but first and foremost I am a Harry Pearce fan. After ten years of watching him suffer, I now live with the fact he will suffer for the rest of his life.

EndingHappy. You could not have chosen a name more further from the truth.

From a loyal and honest, devastated and totally disappointed fan of ten years.

RE: Thank You All
So, another cynical lesson learned about internet posters - why do people do it? How mean!

HappyEnding will no doubt be lurking to have a laugh at all of our expense, and is probably callously chuckling away as I type, but will have no courage to return here as promised.

My thoughts exactly! I couldn't have put it better, mean spirited at best, amazingly callous at worst!

I'm closing this, it's overlapping with other threads.

Sorry to those of you who thought they were really associated with Spooks, but in this day and age it would be naive to believe what you're being told.
