Yes how did Tariq know how to load the handgun in the hotel? I think that boy has been in a spot of bother before. I also think he needs a shave and a hair cut.

Also I dont think the Harry Hide out was the same place as the Yalta place. It looked different from the outside with big grounds. The Yalta place had fields round it. Did anyone else wonder why Caulfied mentioned Yalta to Lucas?

I made a similar point about Tariq earlier, Tea Lady. The poor guy looks like he'll be running 3 jobs at once!

In the world of Spooks.. all MI5 Officers receive firearms training.

I believe both Malcolm & Colin have handled weapons in the past?

Maybe that's why he doesn't have time for a shave or a haircut - he's busy training for all this multi-tasking all the time.

only Tom and Zoe were allowed to handle weapons
This was of course many years ago now.

I mean, let's face it - they had the room prepared for Urazov, or Thumper as we gigglingly call him. Why the hell wasn't it cammed? Theoretically, they would have had him on video not just comms.

Harry has a budget to manage now especially with all the public spending cuts.

What do you think Harry meant when he said to the HS after the Russians had forced the Tazbek PM's plane to land that sometimes the solution to a problem is really simple, or something to that effect? It made me wonder whether MI5 itself may have been behind the Tazbeks finding out that it was the UK that killed their man.

RE: Episode 2 Discussion
Yes, Tea Lady, I did wonder about Caulfield's mentioning Yalta. Was it a reference to the WWII pact? Or the more recent Yalta incarnation? She seems a little young to be getting inspiration from 60+ year old agreement.
