RE: Richard Armitage
How true, Bruwitch2. I wonder how he's going to look in The Hobbit? Thorin(=John, hahaha) is supposed to have a long beard and be grumpy...and four feet tall...Why didn't they cast him as a wizard?

This link gives a photoshop picture of what RA would look like as Thorin.

I don't see why the 4 feet tall thing would be an issue, John Rhys-Davies who played Gimli was over 6 feet and he was just fine. And as for grumpy, Thorin is honorable and noble, not always grumpy. There is enough in the complexity of Thorin's character that will show RA's acting range. I'm not worried.

And personally considering how the wizards are not big features that much in the Hobbit as the character of Thorin, I am glad RA got the other leading role. Bilbo and Thorin are the leading roles in this movie, for RA to have gotten this part, it means that someone's recognized his great talent and it's definitely more important and better than playing a wizard.

In that picture you can't even tell that it is RA!!
I'm hoping for less hair so we can at least see him. I think he is going to be great as Thorin, or John the dwarf as he is known Wink

Ok, guys, I'm closing this thread because it has 60 pages now and this slows the forum down a bit. You can continue you're RA discussion on this new thread.
