No, I'd give that honour to Oliver Mace.

I laughed, but I'm not sure I'd go that far. I have sympathy with Mace, who was not entirely a bad guy, but it was his methods that alienated Harry, and me, and many viewers I suspect.
Spoiler: show
I like that his last line in the show was to wish Harry the best, acknowledging a formidable foe.

So maybe Oliver Mace is his Penguin? Hopefully not his Catwoman. Wink

The Penguin might be a better choice, yes. I don't know how McInnerny might feel about that though!

Well, I don't mean the Danny Devito version. More like the Batman Adventures cartoon version. The businessman who keeps his hand in both sides of the crimes. He's more a facilitator than an actual criminal.

Oh I know - I meant more as something to which one might be compared. A penguin might not be high on the list!

But yeah, you put that really neatly, about him being a facilitator. I do think Mace has a nasty tendency to switch sides depending on who he thinks is winning, as opposed to what he might hold to be right or true. His fatal flaw, if you will.

You make the point even better than I did.

Maybe Mace is more like Two Face.

BTW, Bruce Wayne isn't actually dead. He's unstuck from time, like the island in Lost. It looks like he'll be returning in 2010. Too bad. I'm enjoying Dick Grayson (Robin I) as Batman.

That was what I was trying to tell you a few weeks ago, but I had a feeling you were behind. Hopefully that means if they ever do kill of Harry, it will be just a ruse. We'll get Lucas for some months and then "heellllllllooooooo!"

Well, I knew he wasn't dead. I just wasn't sure exactly where he was.I've been avoiding Final Crisis. I'm boycotting all of the big multi title crossovers from both Marvel & DC. The mini series where he returns sounds really stupid.
