Series 10 Episode Ideas (just for fun)

RE: Series 10 Episode Ideas (just for fun)
Royal Wedding, definitely - especially since, as Tea Lady pointed out, they'll actually be filming around about the time as it occurs.

I like the suggestion of something to do with the WikiLeaks thing too.

The enquiry. While I don't want it to be stretched out for the whole series and form the basis for all the episodes, I also don't want it to be swept under the rug from the first episode. It would be great if, as past operations are dug-out, we get to see past characters (or just that they're mentioned). I have a fear that the whole Zoe cover-up will be found-out, or be in danger of being found out, in which case it might be nice to have her back for an episode Smile

I don't know how many people have read the fanfic 'Unscripted', but I'd like to see a progression of the H/R relationship something along the lines of that. Rather than any implicit mentions of how they're doing, just have under-the-radar, subtle indications, that would barely be noticed. (Of course, this isn't an 'Episode Idea' as such, just something I hope is slid in amongst the rest Smile)

Also not exactly an episode idea, but in accordance with my theory that S10 will be the final series, I'd quite like the last scene to be Harry going through the Pods, looking back on an empty Grid, then switching the lights off as he leaves. Rather than the negative freeze-frame at the end of each episode, I'd quite like there to be no sound, and for it literally just to go to black, to signify the very end. Just my opinion though Smile

I'd like to see a more serious cyber warfare episode. We've had bits of cyber-terrorism in episodes and episodes dedicated to it, but the bits have always seemed like an afterthought and the episodes dedicated to it seem to be more like a Bond-esque story with a single villain or lone hacker.

In the world we live in now cyber-warfare is looking to be the new weapon between nations, look at North Africa at the moment. I'd like a Spooks episode where an enemy nation forces MI5's hand in cyber warfare. There's a lot you can do with the story, there's the moral aspect of it, shutting down a country's water supply and things like that.

It could be another one of the episodes where the team have to go further than they want to in order to ensure the security of the country. I also like those episodes.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but they could tie in the growth in natural disasters in recent times somewhere. I think that could be quite interesting.

Or develop from Nitrus's idea (above) and have groups attack utilities, eg storage dam walls, electricity grid etc (the Thames' Barrier has been done)

I understand that this would be difficult from a political standpoint but I think it would be interesting if they could talk about Iraq or Afghanistan. I don't think they've touched on that yet. They could also touch on recent conflicts in places like Egypt and maybe the Wikileaks (though obviously not directly).

Nia re the ending of Spooks, I think that a low key ending like you suggest is necessary. I think of Spooks as needing to end in much the same way the initial finale of Foyle's War did. Though I don't want Tom to come back as a Grid member, I did suggest a long time ago now that it could be kind of cool to see everyone leave The Grid for drinks or whatever at the end of the last episode and as they walk Tom could be in a camera shot just sitting on the side of the road or walking past or something and no one notices except Ruth or Harry, but when they turn back again to check its him he's gone. I don't know if I explained that properly but I think that would link things back to series one in a cool kind of way.

This is just an idea and id like people to tell me what they think.

How about if the PM was assasinated by terrorists and the team had to go all over the world chasing and catching them! Also I think that they should make a Spooks movie.
How about bringing Zoe back? She was brilliant!

I'm not sure Spooks would have the budget for filming all over the world!
But I think a threat to the PM's life would be an interesting idea.
