RE: Series 10 Filming & Behind the Scenes
I'm making a guess that filming is around 5 months, (At least thats what they said when it was 8/10 episodes) if there only 6 episodes for S10 it could be less Wink So could be July maybe... not sure

Thanks for keeping us informed! And so it begins... Oooooh it begins, does that make anyone else a little nervous? Wink Anything could happen in S10... anything haha Wink

If previous seasons are anything to go by the filming period will be a little over 2 months.

Given what I have been able to pick up about their general production schedule, for 6 episodes, I am going to go with 12 weeks of actual active filming commencing next week. Once again, though, I am just extrapolating. Then there is post production stuff to get through - editing, grading, additional scenes, sound mixing, special effects, ADR, (etc.), then of course Auntie has to approve it all, moving through into marketing/publicity/promotions. I have no idea how long all that can go on, but it typically takes much longer than the actual filming process.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];

Oh yeah for sure - I was just talking about the filming. I remember for certain that there was some re-shooting done on season 8, but in terms of filming schedules that we know about, it's been decreasing in time lengths from year to year.

RE: Series 10 Filming & Behind the Scenes
Exactly. I was shocked when I was first told that. But the filming period for season 7 was about 2 and a half months, season 8 was about 2 months flat and season 9 was about 9 and a half weeks.

NW did an interview last year where she said they mostly see a lot of each other for about 5 months of the year. So it's all spread out. But the filming block is really short.
