Sam disappears

She was mainly there for Danny, and also as someone to whom exposition could be explained in the place of the audience. With the advent of Jo and Danny's death, there was no reason to keep her around.

I agree. I didn't realize she wasn't there until many episodes later it just occurred to me that she wasn't.

Reminds me..anyone read Wozencroft's books....the writer for Spooks has published (as far as I know) - two novels.

Well, there were a lot of people around in the first series... Either Tom, Zoé or Danny were often surrounded by other Five Officers covering surveillance, audio, etc.... It's only after Series 4 and the drift to a more Hollywood-like type of scenarii that "our" heroes starting doing it all and the backup people disappeared even on the Grid.

I watched S4 E1 before S3 E10, so when I saw Sam in S3 E10 I wondered why she wasn't in S4. It was a pretty bad exit though, and I feel quite sorry for Shauna MacDonald.

However, Sam didn't really do much as far as I can tell - although when she called Malcolm a terrible snob I did like that bit [You must be registered to see images.]
